Timothy LYONS, University of California, Riverside, USA
Timothy Lyons is a distinguished professor of Biogeochemistry in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of California, Riverside. Prof. Lyons is widely regarded as the world leader in developing and applying innovative paleoenvironmental proxies for tracking redox changes in the rock record, specifically when oxygen first appeared on Earth and how atmospheric oxygen levels fluctuated throughout the Precambrian. Prof. Lyons is a fellow of both the American Geophysical Union (2018) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (2009), highlighting his significant contributions to the field of biogeochemistry.
