Paul Hoffman, a distinguished Canadian geologist and Sturgis Hooper professor emeritus at Harvard University, is renowned for his expertise in Precambrian geology. He is widely recognized for his groundbreaking research on Snowball Earth glaciation during the Neoproterozoic era, particularly through his work on Namibian sedimentary rocks.
